The first legislative assembly of Delhi was formed in November 1993. The result of Delhi Legislative Assembly Election was declared in 1993. In other words, Earlier there used to be Council of Ministers at that time. A total of six national parties, three state parties, 41 registered (unrecognized) parties and other independent candidates contested for 70 assembly seats at that time.
Delhi has its own 70 MLAs from 70 assembly constituencies declared winners in this election. There are 57 general candidates and 13 SC candidates out of 70 constituencies. Madan Lal Khurana became the Chief Minister of Delhi after 37 years of president rule. Delhi has to 36 Seats for a majority of all 70 seats to the legislative assembly election in 1993. But BJP won 49 seats and confirm the majority to become Chief Minister of Delhi For instance.
INC was won only 14 seats for their party. Bharatiya Janata Party was won 47.82% and Indian National Congress was won only 34.48% votes for their party. Madan Lal Khurana ruled in Delhi for 5 years from 1993 to 1998.
