This cultural Mahotsav was started first time in year 1992 in Uttar Pradesh, India. and since then it has reached to greater heights. In the year 2020, we all are celebrating the 29th year of Taj Mahotsav. Taj Mahotsav festival also figures in the calendar of events of the Department of Tourism, Government of India. A large number of Indian and foreign tourists coming to Agra joins this festivital. One of the objectives of this craft mela is to provide encouragement to the Artisans. It also makes available the magnificent work of art and craft at the most reasonable and authentic prices that are not inflated by high maintenance cost.

Taj Mahotsav 2020: How to Get There
Shilpgram, a craft village in an area of 11.5 acres of land, is located just 500-600 meters from the Eastern gate of Taj Mahal. It is the official parking for Taj Mahal and is the venue for Taj Mahotsav from 18th – 27th February every year.
By Air: Agra or Kheria airport connects Agra with all the major cities in India.
By Rail: Railway station in Agra has trains to almost every major cities in India. ‘Palace on Wheels’ the luxury coach pass through here.
